Motivation

Dealing with depression is strange, especially as a geek. I myself am naturally a bit of a slacker, but I tend to be pretty good at setting my mind to a thing, and getting it done. Depression, however, tends to frustrate that motivation. Take, for example, my blog - it's been over a year since I started working on the scripting behind my blog, and it's only in the past week that I've finished adding a page where I can make posts from. (For the curious, my previous method was to do direct sql injection on the server.)

So how do you deal with getting things done while depressed? I find that the best thing you can do, is to act immediately upon impulse - while it's fresh in your mind, you will find it easier to complete the task.

Anybody else have any thoughts on this? Not that many read my blog, but a guy can hope, can't he?
